Search Engine Optimization
Search Engine Optimization ("SEO"), in its simplest form, is the process by which, through best practices in structure and content of a website, optimizes the ability of search engines to find relevant keywords and the number of links to that content -- resulting in improved rankings. The initial goals are 1) to be listed at the top of search results and 2) to provide enough content in the teaser block to entice the searcher into coming to the site. The ulitmate goal is to provide content that serves the customer -- be it your clients, your staff, your customer, visitors to the site, or any other interested party. Getting the customer to the site is only half the battle. Bringing value to your customer is what keeps them interested and keeps them coming back.
